Ginseng from Amazon Rainforest

“Pfaffia paniculata” is the scientific name for what is better known as Suma Root or Brazilian Ginseng in South America. This ancient plant is native to Brazil and has been used for hundreds of years by the Xingu tribe of the rainforest native.

Pfaffia’s association with the more well-known Ginseng from China stems from its enormous root which is actually the part that is used. Researches and tests saw positive results which paved the way to the discovery of new uses for Pfaffia.
